Dynamic page is a page that it content changes based on a data source, any data change will reflect the page content.

Change is a very common thing these days that happens a lot. Information will be updated every day and soon or late wiki pages will ended up being out of date unless somebody update them as well, it was easier if they were able to be updated accordingly.

This plugin provides macros that collects data from web or REST service or other Confluence pages, that data can be rendered as JavaScript objects to change the content of the page.
How it's different than Confluence user macro running JavaScript?
Confluence user macro's JavaScript will run by internet browsers, you will send some sensitive info into clients machine while this plugins will run them on the server and user gets the rendered data without directly accessing them, also other macros still rendering on top of it so you can use the data as an input for other macros such as Confluence chart macro.
